Water-Permeable EcoDrain®
"Soil Sealing" is the permanent covering of part of the land and natural soil with impermeable artificial material, such as asphalt or conventional concrete that do not "breathe".
Especially in densely populated areas, soil sealing often occurs due to extensive development. In these areas, rainwater does not run off to the same extent as in natural forests, fields or meadows, resulting in flooding.
In order to ensure better infiltration and drainage of rainwater, ecological, water-permeable cobblestone pavements produced by Tsimentodomi can make a significant contribution to stormwater management!
By having a choice among water-permeable paving blocks, blocks with wide joints or grid paving units, better runoff - drainage of rainwater is achieved. Thus, less rainwater is discharged into the public drainage system, which can even save drainage costs. Some of our ecological paving solutions also offer the possibility of combining greenery and flexible paving with the help of wide joints or grid paving units.

OPTION A
Water permeable flooring without water run-off into the subsoil.
1. Fine-grained aggregates in gaps.
2. Permeable concrete paving blocks or concrete grid units.
3. Perimeter curb to protect adjacent ground from flood flows.
4. Stabilization zone (40 - 50 mm thick).
5. Crushed stone base (100 mm).
6. Sub-base of crushed materials.
7. Impervious layer on the bottom and around the carpet.
8. Perforated drainage pipes suitably spaced and sloped to collect water.
9. Pipes with a suitable slope leading to the storm drainage system.
10. Subsoil with a gradient.
OPTION B
Water permeable flooring with full water drainage to the subsoil. The thickness of the subgrade depends on the type of soil.
1. Fine-grained aggregate in gaps.
2. Permeable concrete paving blocks or concrete grid units.
3. Perimeter curb to protect adjacent ground from flood flows.
4. Stabilisation zone (40 - 50 mm thick).
5. Crushed stone base (100 mm).
6. Sub-base of crushed materials.
7. Geosynthetic membrane at the bottom and around the floor (not necessary).
8. Floor with zero gradient.
